One of the main mistakes that new parents do is to buy too many new toys that do not fit in for your baby, same for the clothes; you go on a shopping spree and buy what you like without considering the size of the new clothes. In feng shui the most important rule is to avoid clutter. And clutter can be in any form, not necessarily in old things but also in new things which are not suitable and used. These over-sized toys, clothes and gifts may be lying for years in your baby's room without use and over time will collect dust and negative energy. So think before you buy clothes and toys and do so according to what your baby needs and not what you want to buy for your baby.
Avoid placing your baby's bed near a toilet or wardrobe. And if this is so please keep the toilet door always closed and hang a mirror to deflect all the negative energy. Also try to place the crib or bed away from the fan and it is best to select a wall as support for your baby's bed.
Now let us consider the direction of your baby's room according to feng shui. If you have a baby girl select a room which falls south, south east or west of your home for better health and happiness of your baby. And if you have a baby boy then a north or east room would be best.

Dining tables come in a variety of materials and designs. With latest trends of selecting dining table according to the space available we very often see people opting for folding dining table or glass or metal tables. With furniture selection being based on our interior designer we hardly think of considering selecting a dining table according to feng shui principles.

Let us consider a few options in dining tables that are considered best according to feng shui principles. As in feng shui w e believe that earth element is strongest and best for human beings selecting a wooden dining table would be best according to feng shui rules. Have a dining table which has four legs which indicates firm grounding and good health for your family. It is good to select a square or rectangle shaped table as it maximizes space utilisation and is considered a very good shape for dining table. Dining together is one principle which we all agree with and having the family at the dining table at least once every day is essential to maintain love and respect within your family members.
Your kitchen must have earth colour or white colour so when selecting a dining table go for less conspicuous colours. A wooden shade is better to avoid losing focus from the food in your plate. Since we prefer to have a white kitchen which promotes good health and brings out the true colours of your food it would become too boring for some. And people prefer to have red and orange in the kitchens which are good colours that will uplift the energy of your kitchen. So when selecting a coloured finish for your wooden table you can select any attractive colour except turquoise which is believed to bring about some amount of depression in the kitchen environment. Let your creativity free with decorating your dining table with fresh flowers, fresh fruits or even plastic fruits.
When selecting a metal dining table go in for designs that do not have sharp edges and when you have a square or rectangle table you can go in for curved corners to avoid the sharp pointed negative arrows from this. Since many people work from their home they have to have all the office stationary and equipment facilities and usually the most private area of your home that is the bedroom is selected to have the home office. This in feng shui is considered bad and one must not have a office or work related material in your bedroom.
Having an office in your home is good as you save lots of energy, time and money and you get to focus more upon your home and family. You can select an area or corner in your living room where a table can be set up for your home office and internet. It is a very simple formula you cannot expect money when you are not working towards it. Feng shui and music is linked in a very beautiful way. Music that is pleasant and soothing for hearing is considered very good feng shui and can be used effectively as a feng shui cure. As we know bedroom and home feng shui energy is a balance of yin and yang that is strong and subdued, light and dark and black and white. An imbalance or having one energy in higher rate will spoil the harmony of your home and result in restlessness, lethargy and weakness along with less motivation to work. All this w ill result in poor health and hamper business which will affect adversely the health, wealth and prosperity of your family and home.
When there are frequent bickering about health and everyone seems to be low on energy then feng shui cures can help to uplift the energy of your home and increase motivation and energy levels in your home and family. Music has been used to cure mental illnesses and stress related problems and music can be effectively used to cure and uplift the energy of your home. Usually having too much yin or passive energy that is too much quiet environment will affect adversely on the energy levels of the members of your family. Since the stagnated energy has accumulated over the years you must give at least three months time for improvement to be seen. Do the feng shui music cure regularly once a week for at least three months and see the difference in energy levels of the members of your home.
You will see happiness and good health and strong motivation to work and creativeness will increase in all fields. Feng shuing the kitchen with music will improve the mood of the family and eating time will be a refreshing time. Living room will show more enthusiasm and guests will feel invited and energized to be in your company. This will improve your relationships with other people and within your family.
When using music as cure try to use clear sounds and not very loud music or film songs as this will focus your attention to the song and will not give the desired feng shui result.
