Bedrooms are very important in feng shuii and children's bedrooms influence their personal energy, mind set health set and heart set, educational luck, mentor luck, friendship relationship luck and so much more. Children’s
bedroom, a place where your most precious one, tiny tot , relaxes, lives ,
studies, and has fun, has loads of careful planning the feng shui to bring in
goodluck and educational luck. Feng shui
, correct placement of furniture is really very important here.
Only when all the five elements, that is fire, earth,
water, metal and wind are balanced then there is peace, progress and harmony in
the environment. All parents feel that they want to give the best environment
to their children. And what better way to achieve this than by balancing the
children’s furniture and other objects in their bedroom according to feng shui. with my extensive knowledge and reading about feng shuii from old books here are some workable tips shared in this post.
New Born and Tiny Tots room feng shui
The
first rule of thumb with small
children or new born children is to consider their age and their requirements
before choosing any furniture. Choose the colour of walls in the room with feng
shui. Very young babies can have colourful rooms, except for yellow which is
thought sometimes by feng shui Masters to bring about excitement and makes
babies irritable and prone to crying. You can mix and match with cheerful
yellow.
Red and orange which are bright
colours also need not be in very high proportions as we want our babies to be
relax and have precious sleep during sleeping hours, which these colours do not
promote as they are known to increase activity and excitement. Boys rooms can
be in blue or green whereas girls room can be in pink, peach or other pastel
shades but there are no rules here, go for what connects with you and your
heart, remember your baby is a part of
your energy. One can use cool and light colours for the walls and add
highlights of bright and fresh colours as accessories.
Second thumb rule! Never
leave the children’s bedroom empty! Minimalism is not for children's bedrooms!!! Decorate the children’s bedroom with
colourful pictures, toys and other light sound decorations or wind chimes. Take
care to avoid sharp objects, very heavy toys and furniture having sharp
corners.
Third Thumb rule! Children’s room always has a toys section, keep it clean and organized, I
know this is next to impossible for the little toddlers , but it is better to
clear away the clutter so that they do not accidently trip or fall over the
toys displayed for playing. keep the space clear for running and jumping,
whereas if your little kid is a studious type keep more of story books and
other interesting toys for them in their bedroom. Space saving units and children's room furniture today have so many trendy and well organized forms available online.
Fourth Thumb rule , choose wall art carefully! You may love contemporary art and abstracts but your child needs to have images that resonate with their level of mind and understanding. A angry bird, a ferocious lion and a galloping hose painting all
are not a good choice for children’s bedroom art. You can display paintings of
happy animals, birds and flowers to make the room attractive.
Inspiring images, bright colourful paintings and fantasy hope symbols bring joy to them everyday. We also have a
lot of fantasy characters, comic icons and super hero artworks that your child
would love to be surrounded with. One can also display children’s own drawings
and paintings in their bedroom to give them feelings of importance and
belonging to their bedroom.
Fifth thumb rule in feng
shui is to avoid any furniture, object or toy that has sharp edges. These emit
negative arrows and are always harmful for your child. Over head beams must be
taken care of in children’s bedroom as they may get hurt while playing. Try to
keep some floor space clear as when their bedroom is congested there will be no
place for positive chi to enter the room and your child may end up with boredom
and always look dull with lack of energy.
Balancing
the five elements is the Golden Thumb rule of feng shui even in children’s
bedroom, try to use furniture and objects of decor keeping this in mind. See
that the children’s bedroom gets fresh air and sunlight for some hours of the
day. If you want to, you can keep plants hanging above the reach of your tiny
bundle of joy. Do not put artificial flowers and plants and also do not allow fresh
flowers to dry off in vases filled with water. Avoid fire and symbols of fire in the children's room even if you wish to
activate the area for fame and recognition in your child’s bedroom. One can
hang pictures of red colour things or paintings or red flowers to activate this
area with positive energy.
Many
parents complain of children being bored, tired, dull and irritable. This is one of the most serious fears among parents- I receive so many emails, they want educational luck and academic success for their children. cannot focus and lag in growth levels. Keep the rules of feng shui in mind and
these simple tips will show you a vast difference in your little one.
Colour walls in children's room according to their nature, furniture which is comfortable for them, toys which
they like and clothes which they are comfortable in will make your children
feel an important part of the family and give them the feeling of ownership of
their room. Take them in decision making and allow them to make choices and accept responsibility of that from early age.
Have
loads of carefully planned feng shui to
bring in goodluck and educational luck.
