Clearing and organizing my art studio, with more than three thousand paintings on paper and canvas, listing this, I made an inventory, that was the best thing, I understood how many I had painted! Here chanced upon my old color palette and WOW it brought so many memories of joy and happiness! keep some precious art materials by your side ,those that bring you joy, they will assist you in your artists journey ahead.

Colour palettes are so important and precious for artists. They are our art mates and have loads of stories to tell. There was not information on how to clean colour palettes and nowadays artists have found short cuts of using reusable oil proof sheets , use and throw , no hassles of cleaning up the dried oils!

I have shifted to using acrylics but still the charm of oils is always beautiful. The smell of fresh oil tube still brings a soothing energy of bliss.
Feng Shuii symbolism of palettes is precious. Whatever type of artist you may be, evolving, fresher, experienced, palettes every time have a story to tell.
What type of energy does your colour palette have? does it bring happy memories or feelings of sadness?
Why feng shuii for artists studio is important?
it will reflect your career and your art life. If your art materials and resources are in a mess you be assured that your career also will be in confusion. There is a lot of focus today on organization, clutter clearing, space organization, space savers, of every space of your home. then this also applies to your artists studio.
Focus on artists using oil paints, your palette is very important. if it is always dirty and you tend to leave the oils on after finishing a painting, the palette does accumulate stagnant energy. Then you keep wondering why you are not getting fresh ideas to paint! and you also will find it difficult to be inspired to paint. Sometimes artists suffer artists block not because of lack of creativity but because their art materials are in a mess.
When I read about world famous artists, there are also videos on you Tube about biographies of famous artists, I wonder how they accumulated so many brushes, so many old oil tubes. Yes, that time was different and people did appreciate to love the messy artist, in fact the more messier the more creative!
Not today, with Feng Shuii understanding and knowledge, the artist's too are learning. When you see my artists studio it is always organized, except when I am painting. You would not want to see me then, as I am surrounded with papers, colors, rags for cleaning up and with the recent obsessions of painting by numbers they would be repeating energy of same symbols. I still paint so many symbols overlapping the intentions are self empowerment, personal power activation, health, longevity, wealth flow easy money opening money blocks, family bonding , business success, breaking family curses, karmic blocks dissolving and joy.
Tip one, keep it organized, use space savers, space organizers, assemble paint tubes in a tray or organized. Brushes need to be kept clean and standing position to protect the bristles.

The Colour Palette Feng Shuii-
1) Remnants of paints must be cleaned. It is a good habit to clean the palette after every use, that is when you finish the painting. It is a message to the universe to bring fresh art making energy and fresh art orders in your life.
2) I had this habit of mixing more oils then I took the conservative method. With experience only, did I learn not to waste precious oils. This will affect your art as also the energy of your studio if you regularly keep wasting paints. be resourceful with art materials, at least try to be, because we all know from hundreds and thousands we don't sell all artworks.

3) You will find that the palette has special connection with making art. It is a blank slate to paint dreams and joy. Yes, that is energy of Feng Shuii. Many artists link their creative energy to their palette. It becomes a partner in making art.

4) What happens if you need to replace the palette? suppose it has become abrasive, broken or cracked, and then Feng Shuii advises to replace it. always thank the palette, it will not take away your creative energy then. Throwing art materials is bound to happen with years of artists career. I thank every material, every paint tube ,every worn out brush before lettings them go.
5) You want to keep the old palette? of course sometime we love the energy so much, it becomes like an antique piece in our studio. Yes, I have the old palette, and I have left the oils over them that has loads of stories to tell. Who knows one day it will be sold for a fortune!!
6) If you have had negative experiences with palette what will you do? by negative I explain here- , some times I have experienced this, took a new palette, this was acrylic one and it didn't bring out in me anything. So went back to the old color palette, cleaned it and bravo, again began painting with the flow! things like this happen in our artist lives. that is the play of energy and Feng Shuii.
Then also some palettes have stories of not finishing artworks, has it happened that many time you start painting and it doesn't reach completion. you abandon it for any reason and many times Feng Shuii energy is linked to such experiences happening in artists lives too. So repeatedly incomplete artworks you feel the materials are jinxed! don't worry every artist faces this.

It is better to check the reasons, think about the why? what new have you added to your studio, is it the palette? is it the brush or any new types of paints.
sometimes it happens that the painting has become a mess and you express dissatisfaction which is transferred to your palette. these experiences may affect your art process and making of art.
What will you do for Feng Shuing your palette that has accumulated negative energy? clean it well, scrape off all remnants of oils, as if with intention of erasing all past history of unsuccessful venture. Burn some incense and refresh your palette. I would keep the palette in early morning sun to re-energize it. This tip works wonders!
After acrylics have entered my life the palette has little use, but I have kept it, its precious!

Write good descriptions and details for your paintings when you display them online for selling. Add extra images with art displayed in decor. if your website ahs a view in room option, that is very good. Presentation of artworks shows art buyers how your painting will look hanging in modern decor rooms.

Why you paint? why you make art? get this clear first. Find/make a special place in the northeast of your home. If you have some rocks, shells, conch, it is very good, these are symbols of awakening and enlightenment and will guide you to your soul purpose, as to why you create art. remember not all artists paint to sell! some have to heal themselves, some need an emotional outlet, some just want to prove their identity, and some are just born artists and they need to paint!
Bring in a comfortable chair in your studio, meditate everyday for at least few minutes. I am saying few minutes as personally I am a very impatient soul, you can sit for fifteen minutes or more as your mind allows you to. Let the thoughts come up, that is not the issue. ..the issue here is to silence the mind, the soul knows what its purpose is.
In a few days you will find immense changes in your life, you will
suddenly feel the priorities in your life emerge.
Clarity of goals will bring clarity in life which will lead you to
a successful life.

Have a green plant in your studio. Monet had water lily gardens, at least keep some greens in your studio! you will find fresh energy.
Have a window and appropriate lighting. I have personally experienced I used to paint in dark corners of our old home with low light and hence colors used were dull and paintings were subdued muted colours. Being in sunlight bright rooms changes your perspective.
I love gemstones. If you can add your birth stone, a gemstone works wonders to every career.
Remember you cannot expect success or become famous with painting few artworks of for few years. There are no such things as over night success and she is lucky, we have to put up hard joyful work. I have been obsessively painting since past more than two decades without stopping to see whether they sell or not. In that period few artworks have sold to unknown people from around the globe online. There is a magic number after ten thousand hours of practicing any skill you break through into real magic! I feel sad to see so many artists spring up daily advertising online with just watching few YouTube channel videos, paint few artworks, hold some exhibitions and then stop making art. Then why begin in the first place?
Where to keep your painted artworks in studio? for business success and profits
Business success is the south sector to attract recognition for efforts. North for opportunities and northwest for good clients and buyers. It is also good to hang paintings framed and on easel, as well as on working frames displayed in your studio. If you have an open studio-that is buyers can come to buy directly then this also is a good selling point for your art. I usually sell paintings from my website only and rarely do buyers visit, only those who are staying local, sometimes international buyers too come, like my art collectors from Dubai had specially visited to buy art the second time and they had also invited us at their place when wee were on our family vacation to Dubai.
Focus on making art more and improve your skills regularly. The artists field is related to marketing and knowledge about art market, selling prices of art, and places to sell art is a continuous process every artists has to keep updated for successful career.

Magic palette will bring you immense luck. You can display it. Many artists also cling to old rags with paints that were used to wipe off , they are pieces of art! Be conservative in using social media as artists are emotional people and buyers like it that way. You cannot be on social media for 24 hours chatting online and thanking every comment and with followers and posting photos , when will you make art!
Golden rule- Being an artist is full time 24x7 life long job! Please whenever you throw any art objects, materials, tools, from your studio, even the rag cloth used to wipe paints, thank it! the old frames. old paintings, empty paint tubes and bottles.
