Have a water feature in your property is very auspicious according to feng shui. Having a pond or brook in front is very good, where as in your back may lead to financial losses. So select such a property which has a beautiful water fountain or natural water feature in front to welcome and increase positive energy. Flowing water is very auspicious as this creates positive chi which is essential to enliven and uplift the energy of your surroundings.
 Select a land which has few ups and downs or landscaped garden as compared to very straight flat ground. Chi is abundant in such landscaped gardens and very flat long area create bad feng shui as chi will escape very easily soon from here and not nourish the area with positive energy. Land too hilly is yang and too flat is yin energy so we need a balance between yin and yang for harmony. Single Villa or bungalow on top of hill is not good as all the energy is drained and falls below away from the house.
3) Select south facing direction homes for getting sunlight and as vegetation grows well it will create abundance and prosperity, this is good feng shui. Avoid north winds. The back of your property will benefit if there are mountains at the back for support, where as having mountains in front of your property will create blocks in energy and affect your life and career and finances adversely. 

North facing home may be lucky with good opportunities blessings  but they lack sunlight. Each sector in feng shui corresponds to an element so see how you can benefit from this originally and then you can add some simple feng shui cures to balance the lacks.

4) Is the house with all rooms in straight lines? Then the innermost rooms inmates are not nourished and always feel tired sick and less finances too. Straight lines are not auspicious in feng shui as the Chinese believed that ghosts travelled in straight lines. hence in feng shui we prefer curved lines in all spaces and constructions. Bridges, driveways, entrance hall ways all need to have a smooth curved pattern to be more welcoming for the chi.

5) Do you have sundeck and balcony? this is good but remember to avoid keeping main door open if the balcony directly faces your main door. This will drain energy and lead to loss of opportunities and finances. 

6) Toilets are very important in feng shui as they take away wastes and have big drains. Check that there are not too many toilets in your house. Every room nowadays has attached toilets , take care that they are closed after every use. If you have extra toilets that are more than rooms in house please keep it closed or use as store room and cover the drains. 

7) The size of your main door is really important. People go with latest decor trends and make huge main doors. This means as you open the door chi enters with full blast and if you have balcony opposite main door then the house will be under nourished of chi. I am sure there are clutter, broken furniture, things that are not required are dumped outside main door, must be dried dead plants with empty pots, broken unusable children's bicycle etc. Clear this at first step now. The mouth of your home that nourishes with chi is blocked so how can you expect money flow. 

2) Two Chinese Bamboo plants or the humble overflowing money plant is magical. you will see fast results. Growing plants is a must with healthy greens at entrance and wealth corner-south east. Take care that the plants must not die here. Other wise place artificial silk plants. Avoid plastic plants.

3) Use dhoop, agarbatti, incense, sage burning to remove negative blocks from your house.

We ourselves have the bathroom in south east and one just cannot change places as this involves major decisions. All you can do is try some simple feng shui cures. I have noticed making simple changes does bring miraculous results in life.

Another important aspect of bathroom feng shuii-keep it dry and not always throwing spilling water. Remember in feng shuii water means wealth/money. The more you throw the more you deplete this energy from your life.  

I have mentioned this many times before ,main door must have entry way free from clutter and allow chi to replenish your house energy with positivity. Do keep your main door open for at least few minutes in morning, attract best energy. 

Door must never be left open after use, try to cover the lid of commode, but this may not be always possible of you have sick, old people ,children at home. Try to keep door of toilet closed after use. Never put mirror opposite of toilet. Every time you open the toilet door this reflects the toilet and this means money wealth energy going in drain. If you have one, especially in bedroom then cover it. 

Usually you will be tempted to put plants as this is south east, please don't. feng shui does not promote decorating toilets. You can add encouraging stickers or even plants flowers images for activating this sector.
